Global Technical Capabilities

The Iberdrola Group is a pioneer in developing the offshore wind industry across many markets, such as involvement in one of the first commercial scale offshore wind farms in the United States, the Vineyard Wind 1 (804 MW) project, and the United Kingdom’s 3,100 MW East Anglia Hub project.

In leading the industry for over more than 10 years, this experience has taught us that every project has a unique set of technical challenges that require innovative solutions. For example, on the St Brieuc project in France we overcame difficult metocean and geotechnical conditions and on the Baltic Eagle project in Germany, we developed industry leading mitigation measures for subsea noise insulation.

In all these instances, the Iberdrola Group overcame unique technical challenges and proposed outcomes that were fair for all stakeholders.
